Martyn Ashton Joins Rider Resilience as Patron
We are blessed to be able to align ourselves with some individuals who, by their very nature, through talks and appearances, embellish bike derived resilience. It's our pleasure to welcome Martyn Ashton as a patron for those very reasons.
Martyn is a former British World Champion Mountain Biker and a four times British bike trial champion, amongst many accolades. He even has a Guinness world record for the Mountain Bike High Jump. In September 2013 a riding accident led to his paralysis. Since then he has continually shown his resilience and has returned to the trails on his mountain trike and through various outlets, inspired others and promoted the benefits of bikes to hundreds of thousands of people.
We are incredibly honoured to have him recognise Rider Resilience and its aspirations to share our community far and wide, hoping to support others through hardship and shout loud about shining in the face of adversity.
To the wider public our patrons are our flag bearers, yet for Rider Resilience they also take on an advisory role and utilise their connections to drive us to a higher echelon of exposure.
To many Martyn will not need introduction but to find out more about him and to see our patrons gather check out our patron page.
